Community Guidelines
A community for disagreement without hostility, independent thinking without isolation, and curiosity without boundaries.
The Forum is an application-based, members-only space for discussing international affairs, sharing original work, and asking better questions. Approval means someone may participate; it does not indicate that the editorial team endorses their views.
01 / Discuss ideas in good faith
Strong criticism, disagreement, and debate are welcome. Personal attacks, targeted harassment, threats, hate speech, dehumanizing statements, stalking, and discriminatory abuse are not. Focus on a claim and its evidence rather than speculating about another member’s character or identity.
02 / Give context and credit
When making factual claims, identify credible sources where practical. Distinguish established facts, interpretations, and uncertainty. Attribute quotations, research, and original analysis. Do not submit plagiarized work, impersonate others, present fabricated evidence, or knowingly spread misleading material.
03 / Protect members' privacy
Do not share another person's private contact information, personal documents, private messages, or identifying details without permission. Avoid submitting confidential documents or information that you are not authorized to disclose. A members-only space is not an absolute guarantee of confidentiality; other members may screenshot or share material, despite these rules.
04 / Share relevant and original work
Research notes, policy analysis, reading recommendations, article drafts, and thoughtful questions are encouraged when relevant to the category. Do not use The Forum for spam, solicitation, repeated self-promotion, unrelated advertising, or content that violates intellectual property rights. The current Forum supports text discussions and replies, not direct file uploads.
05 / Make room for different perspectives
The Global Tactician is nonpartisan. Members may express political perspectives and critique governments, institutions, or policies. Moderation should focus on conduct, evidence, relevance, and safety—not whether a member agrees with an editor or moderator. Nonpartisanship does not require treating unsupported claims as equally credible.
06 / Moderation and reporting
All new discussions and replies enter a moderation queue before appearing to other members. Approved members may report content. Moderators can reject, remove, or hide contributions; administrators can decline, suspend, or revoke membership for serious or repeated violations. Context matters, and automated tools should not be the sole basis for judging difficult content. Review decisions are made by people.
07 / Respect the boundary between member and editorial content
Contributions to The Forum are members' own views, not articles published by The Global Tactician's editorial team. Do not republish another member's Forum content outside the community without permission. Publishing an article in the magazine is a separate editorial process.
These guidelines are a working draft for the founder to approve. The Privacy Notice still requires a contact address and final terms for data access, retention and deletion. Public enrollment should remain disabled until the access controls and moderation functions have been tested.
